This allows us to provide our certified contractors with the most powerful marketing tool – trust. The team:
Our sales team conducts a fit assessment by learning about our customers and what their businesses do. We identify how our certification can help grow their business, educate them on digital marketing and how to measure success. The sales team handles full-cycle from prospecting to closing to renewing – you will have the chance to build your book of business!
You’ll have the opportunity to participate in monthly and quarterly contests – and any other fun contests we might throw in the mix. The team enjoys friendly competitions, but we also motivate, encourage and learn from each other. You’ll have regular one-on-one with your manager focusing on performance and coaching, with consistent feedback.
The role:
The Business Development Representative role has significant opportunities to acquire new skills and master existing skills. You will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You will be tasked with identifying and generating sales opportunities through both inbound and outbound calling activities. The right candidate will be who works well under pressure, thinks out-of-the box, easily initiates relaxed but informative two-way phone conversations with prospects. You will work closely with the Customer Success Team to champion long-term relationships with our customers.
- Qualify leads and connect with prospects through various communication channels, mainly phone (phone, chats, emails, social media).
- Act as the subject matter expert on digital marketing and our certification program offerings.
- Work with the Customer Success Team to provide the best customer experience and educate customers on our value proposition and how to succeed with our program.
- Apply consultative sales techniques to identify prospective customers and customers’ needs and, educate and cater to each prospect and customers specifically.
- Engage current customers to expand awareness, educate and ask for referrals, identify new opportunities and develop account intelligence.
- Present, promote and sell our certification program using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
- Demonstrate the ability to consistently meet weekly, monthly and annual targets.
- Track key information in Pipedrive for follow-up and analytics.
- Continue to work on your skills through continuous feedback from your peers and leaders.
- Perform effective online presentations to clearly communicate our value proposition and what success is with our program.
- Maintain and expand your books of customers by effectively manage and prioritizing your leads and accounts.
To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience with not only meeting, but exceeding sales quotas, primarily within a telephone-based environment and have had experience in the industry.
- Proven success in sales, preferably, B2B sales generation role. If you were a top performer in selling marketing & advertising such as Yellow Pages, BBB, or event spaces – then we’d love to hear from you!
- Ability to be self-motivated and self-starter. You will be making many dials and conduct engaging online presentations – on your computer – to effectively support the sales process. We need someone who can continue to be energetic with positive vibes – and not be depleted by it.
- Proven track record of over-achieving quota in past roles – be highly motivated to not only meet but surpass your targets – and work to consistently be an A+ player on the team.
- Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently, while achieving sales goals and key metrics from assigned set of accounts.
- Proven ability to actively listen to understand customers pain points, requirements and correlating potential business to value that can be provided by our program.
- Demonstrated the ability to excel and be energized by following proper sales cadences, and uncover opportunities to increase its efficiency and effectiveness.
- The ability to adapt and be flexible are critical as we are a growing company, and we need people who can quickly pivot if business directions need to be changed.
- Adept computer skills including proficiency with Google apps, is preferred.
