About Calgary’s Resilient Roofing Rebate Program

The City of Calgary’s Resilient Roofing Rebate Program offers a $3,000 rebate to Calgary homeowners that experienced hail damage and have replaced or plan to replace their shingles with a Class 4 shingle. Class 4 shingles are impact-resistant and can withstand hailstorms without damage.

The first phase of this program was for homeowners dealing with hail damage from 2020. For these cases, they must provide proof of hail damage. It is also for all eligible homeowners who have replaced or plan to replace their roof with Class 4 roofing products after June 1, 2021. Those homeowners do not need to show proof of hail damage as the replacement is considered a preventative measure.

The program until May 31, 2024, or all the funding is distributed to eligible homeowners, whichever comes first. Some eligibility conditions apply.
