He created the company out of an existing lighting repair and retrofit company of a different name. Enerpro Electrical started off with commercial services work and small commercial renovation projects. By the mid-1990s, it was busy on various small to medium-sized commercial projects, from office renovations to retail and restaurants. In 2016, after continuing to specialize in commercial and design-build projects, Enerpro Electrical was purchased from Dan by longtime employee Shawn Anderson. Shawn continued to push the values of customer service and quality that Dan had prioritized prior. In 2018, Enerpro Electrical shifted its focus from general commercial projects to residential and commercial service and maintenance. Additionally, the company kept up with more design-build work in the commercial field.
