ToggleHome Improvement Rebates
Specifically, you can work with a participating Alberta contractor to increase your home’s energy efficiency with upgraded insulation, high efficiency windows and tankless water heaters. EEA is offering major rebates for homeowners who complete these energy efficient upgrades, as long as they are installed by one of EEA’s certified and participating contractors. RenovationFind has compiled a list of accredited contractors who are participating in this program. Find that list of contractors here.
Save up to $3500 on new insulation!
Improve the insulation in your basement, above-grade walls and attic and not only will you improve the comfort of your home, you’ll greatly increase your home’s energy efficiency and save money on energy bills. Plus, rebates of up to $3500 are available for the installation of insulation in your home. The type of insulation and where it is installed will determine how much of a rebate you can receive.
Types of insulation that qualify for the rebate include blown-in, rolls or batts, loose fill, spray foam and rigid board insulation. You will get a dollar amount rebated per square foot of each type of insulation. Your insulation contractor will be able to answer any questions you might have about the type of installation and the rebate you qualify for. Find an EEA participating insulation contractor.
Save up to $1500 on ENERGY STAR ® windows!
Upgrade to ENERGY STAR® certified, triple pane, low-e, argon windows and get a big rebate on purchase and installation. Windows are the number one culprit for energy loss in most homes, so this smart home improvement will help you save money on your utility bills.
The amount you receive back with the rebate is determined by the type and size of each window you replace. Your window contractor will be able to give more information and walk you through the process of installation and getting the rebate. Find an EEA participating window contractor.
Save up to $1000 on an ENERGY STAR ® tankless hot water heater!
Tankless water heaters allow you to use hot water as-needed, saving money on heating water and ensuring you never run out! They take up less space and waste less energy compared to the large, storage tank systems that are equipped with standing pilot lights.
The amount of rebate you are eligible for depends on the type and size of your current water heater and the type of fuel it uses. If you have questions, your contractor can give you more information and explain how the rebate process works. Find an EEA participating tankless hot water heater contractor.
